A tiger was found dead in a community forest in ward 9 of Janaki Rural Municipality in Kailali district on Sunday.
According to the District Police Office, the Royal Bengal tiger was found dead in Amarawati Community Forest.
The big cat was entangled in barbed wires used in fencing the forest area.
Security officials and forest employees are investigating the incident, said police.
