Cold wave affecting lives in Bardiya

Bardiya
The lives of the locals of Bardiya have been badly affected for the last three days due to a cold wave coupled with dense fog. People in the district have not been able to see the sunlight since Friday.
According to the District Traffic Office, the visibility on the road is less than 25 metres.
The number of infants, children, and senior citizens visiting health facilities for treatment of cold-related illnesses and pneumonia has also increased in the last couple of days.
Currently, more than 50 children under the age of two have been visiting the district hospital every day, said Dr Bishwanath Shah, a paediatrician at the hospital.
