Autopsy shows Banke tiger died of starvation

The autopsy of a tiger that was found dead on September 27 inside Ashok Community Forest in Rapti-Sonari Rural Municipality has revealed that the animal died of natural causes. The autopsy report was issued on Thursday.
According to Ramesh Budhathoki, forest officer of the Division Forest Office, Banke, the samples collected from the carcass of the tiger were tested at the Nepalgunj-based forensic lab of the Nepal Police.
The report mentioned that the tiger was suffering from pneumonia and internal bone injuries due to a lack of nutrition and starved to death.
There was no sign of an attack on the tiger by humans or any other wild animals, said Budhathoki.
