Man dies of dengue in Palpa

An 84-year-old man died of dengue infection at the Tansen-based United Mission Hospital, Palpa, on Thursday.
The man was a permanent resident of ward 2 of Mathagadi Rural Municipality in the district. According to Dr Rajendra Giri, head of the District Health Office in Palpa, so far, four people infected with dengue have died in the course of treatment, and more than 300 people have been infected in the district since the last week of July.
According to the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division, Teku, more than 34,000 people have been infected with dengue this year, and 20 people have lost their lives in the country.
