One dead, over two dozen injured in Deukhuri road mishap

At least one person died in a road accident involving two buses in Deukhuri of Dang district on Friday.
Forty-two-year-old Shova Pariyar was killed after a bus, heading towards Tulsipur from Birgunj, and a local microbus, en route to Sisanhiya, collided head-on in Fulkapur of Lamahi Municipality-3.
The bus was carrying workers from a Birgunj-based brick kiln who were returning home in Rolpa.
Over two dozen passengers, including Pariyar’s two sons, have been injured in the road mishap.
The injured have been taken to Butwal, Bhairahawa, and Nepalgunj for treatment, said Police Inspector Shankar Shrestha, Chief of the Lamahi Ward Police Office.
