Nepali Congress candidate Binod Kumar Chaudhary has been elected from Nawalparasi West-1. He received 29,495 votes.
Chaudhary finished 7,187 votes ahead of his closest rival, Hridayesh Tripathi of the Janata Pragatisheel Party, who received 22,308 votes.
Similarly, Rastriya Swatantra Party’s Mahendra Sen (Thakuri) garnered 12,499 votes.
