CPN (Maoist Centre) candidate Rekha Sharma has been elected a House of Representatives member from Dang-2.
Sharma garnered 26,877 votes to secure her victory against CPN-UML general secretary Shankar Pokharel. Pokharel received 26,681 votes.
Bishal Adhikari of the Rastriya Swatantra Party came in third in the election race with 15,858 votes.
