RSP leads in Sindhupalchok-1, Congress ahead in Sindhupalchok-2

In ongoing vote counting in Sindhupalchok, Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Bharat Parajuli is leading in constituency 1, while Nepali Congress’ Bansha Lal Tamang has taken the lead in constituency 2.
In constituency 2, counting from Helambu-7 and several wards of Melamchi Municipality shows 2,878 votes tallied. Tamang has secured 967 votes, followed by Nepali Communist Party candidate Yubaraj Dulal ‘Sharad’ with 550 votes.
CPN-UML’s Sher Bahadur Tamang has 333 votes, and RSP’s Jhalak Kumar Shrestha has 279 votes. Counting continues in Indrawati-4 and Panchpokhari Thangpal wards.
In constituency 1, all five wards of Bhote Koshi Rural Municipality have been counted. Parajuli leads with 2,875 votes, followed by NCP’s Madhav Sapkota with 1,194 votes. Nepali Congress’ Jung Bahadur Lama and CPN-UML’s Saresh Nepal are in third and fourth place with 721 and 700 votes, respectively.
So far, 6,327 votes have been counted in the constituency, with 459 ballots invalidated. A total of 36 candidates from 15 political parties, including Congress, UML, NCP, and RSP, and three independents, are contesting in the district.
According to the District Election Office, Sindhupalchok has 274,998 registered voters, of which 153,146 have cast their ballots, including 69,505 women and 84,141 men.
