12 injured as jeep overturns in Sindhupalchok

Twelve passengers were injured when a jeep overturned near the Golmathang Temple in ward 8 of Barhabise Municipality, Sindhupalchok, on Monday.
According to the Bahrabise Area Police Office, two of the injured were referred to Kathmandu for further treatment due to the severity of their condition.
“The remaining passengers are undergoing treatment at Barhabise Municipal Hospital,” said Police Inspector Sumesh Pandey of Barhabise Area Police Office, adding that the jeep driver has been taken into custody.
According to health workers, most of the injured sustained deep wounds to the head and legs.
Locals and security personnel carried out rescue operations.
Injured passengers said the accident occurred due to brake failure.
