A senior head constable of Nepal Police died in a motorcycle accident near Baba Petrol Pump in Khairhani municipality-8 of Chitwan on Monday.

Hemanta Kumar Shrestha,43 of Rainas municipality, Lamjung was seriously injured in the accident at around 2.45 am this morning.

He took his last breath at around 3:19 am while undergoing treatment at Chitwan Medical College and Teaching Hospital in Bharatpur.

Shrestha was working at the Manahari area police office in Makawanpur and was on his way to Chitwan on Monday morning.

Further investigation into the accident is underway, Deputy Superintendent of Police Bheshraj Rijal said.
