Two people died on the spot in a pickup truck accident near Chiyabari of Kamalamai Municipality-2 along the BP Highway on Thursday morning.

The deceased are two men from Ward 6 of Golanjor Rural Municipality.

According to police, five others were injured when the truck carrying food and vegetables en route to Sindhulimadhi from Golanjor-6 met with an accident.

Three of the critically injured have been taken to Kathmandu for further treatment. Two others are receiving treatment at Sindhuli Hospital, said Superintendent of Police Govinda Raj Kafle.
