Seven members of a family were taken ill, five seriously, after consuming toxic wild mushrooms in ward 6 of Bhimphedi Rural Municipality in Makawanpur district.
Mangali Maya Syangtan, 65, and her family ate mushroom curry prepared from mushrooms she collected from a nearby forest on Wednesday.
Five seriously ill people were taken to Chitwan, while two others are receiving treatment at Hetauda Hospital.
Three people have died, while 29 others were taken ill after consuming wild mushrooms in Makawanpur over the past three weeks.
