School students beat up teacher

Pem Tsering Sherpa, a school teacher at Gorpang Basic School in ward 4 of Gaurishankar Rural Municipality, was badly beaten by two male teenage students of Manedada Secondary School of the same ward on Wednesday.
According to the statements the teenagers gave to the police, they beat up the teacher after accusing him of molesting their 13-year-old sister in the school.
The injured teacher is receiving treatment at the Rolwaling Community Hospital in the rural municipality, police said.
The teenagers are all minors studying in grade 8 and grade 10. Further investigation regarding the incident is going on, police said.
