A joint team of Chief District Officer Rudradevi Sharma and District Traffic Police Office Kavre is taking action against vehicles that charge high fares from passengers during the ongoing festival season.
The team is monitoring the Kavre Bhanjyang road section under the BP highway going east from Kathmandu.
According to Janardan Ghimire, head of the District Traffic Police Office, as of Thursday evening, the team has taken action against seven vehicles and refunded overcharged fare to 124 passengers.
