Maoist Centre’s Ganga Karki elected HoR member from Dolakha
Congress finishes first bagging 57 seats as the final results of all 165 constituencies under FPTP are declared.Post Report
Ganga Karki of the CPN (Maoist Centre) has been elected as a House of Representatives (HoR) member from Dolakha.
As per the final results declared on Monday morning, Karki defeated CPN-UML’s candidate Balkrishna Siwakoti by a margin of 518 votes.
Karki got 36,995 votes, while Siwakoti garnered 36,477 votes.
Jagadish Kharel of the Rastriya Swatantra Party settled at 3,504 votes.
With the win, the Maoist Centre has won 18 seats with final results of all 165 constituencies under the first-past-the-post category announced.
The Congress topped the FPTP seat tally with a win in 57 constituencies.
The UML became second with a win in 44 constituencies. The CPN (Maoist Centre) came third in the seat tally winning 18 seats as the CPN (Unified Socialist) became fourth with registering victory in ten constituencies.
