CPN-UML candidate Krishna Bhakta Pokhrel is leading the election race in Chitwan-2 with 150 votes as of 3:15pm on Monday.

Pokharel is followed by Umesh Shrestha of Nepali Congress with 97 votes.

Pokhrel was elected House of Representative member from Chitwan-2 in the 2017 polls.

Meanwhile, Rastriya Swatantra Party chair Rabi Lamichhane has garnered 25 votes as per the initial vote count results.
