Gagan Kumar Thapa of Nepali Congress is leading with 668 votes in Kathmandu-4 as per the initial results of the vote counting.
Thapa is closely followed by Rajan Bhattarai of CPN-UML garnering 633 votes as of 12:30pm.
Thakur Mohan Shrestha of Rastriya Prajatantra Party has stood third in the election race with 65 votes.
