Boy drowns in Balan river on Siraha-Saptari border
The body recovered a day after he went missing while bathing.

A 14-year-old boy who drowned in the Balan River on the Siraha-Saptari border was found dead on Tuesday.
Ghana Shyam Yadav, son of Shiva Kumar Yadav from ward 3 of Sakhuwanankarkatti Rural Municipality in Siraha, went missing on Monday morning while bathing near the bridge over the river along the Hulaki Highway.
Despite search efforts by Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and locals, he could not be located on the first day.
A team of divers from Bardibas recovered his body around 11:30am on Tuesday, about 50 metres south of the bridge.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Kailash Rai, chief of the Area Police Office, Lahan, said an investigation is underway.
