Two toddlers drowned in a toilet septic tank at Binuwatole in ward 10 of Chandrapur Municipality, Rautahat, on Tuesday evening.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Raj Kumar Rai of the Chandranigahapur Area Police Office, the victims have been identified as two-year-old Ranje Sah and two-year-old Khushbu Sah, both from the same neighbourhood.
The children were playing at the house of a local resident, Hridaya Paswan, when they fell into the septic tank. They were rushed to Chandranigahapur Hospital but died during treatment.
