Girl drowns in drain in Siraha

A one-and-a-half-year-old girl drowned in a drain in ward 5 of Mirchaiya Municipality of Siraha district on Saturday morning.
According to the Area Police Office, Mirchaiya, Asika Safi, daughter of Kisun Safi, was found dead in the drain near her house. Police said an investigation into the incident is underway.
Earlier, in December last year, Rajina Devi Mahato had also drowned in a drain in the same ward.
