Two people were killed in separate road accidents in Saptari on Monday night.
A microbus, travelling from Mahuli to Rajbiraj, lost control and crashed at Padariya in ward 1 of Rajbiraj Municipality, killing its driver, 35-year-old Raghu Yadav, from ward 1 of Rupani Rural Municipality.
The driver’s assistant, Dev Sundar Sah, from ward 1 of Shambhunath Municipality, managed to escape unhurt, police said.
In another incident, a motorcycle heading to Sigyaun from Rajbiraj crashed, critically injuring 22-year-old rider Ghanashyam Yadav from ward 12 of Rajbiraj Municipality.
He was referred to Neuro Hospital in Biratnagar, where he died during treatment, according to police.
