A policeman died in a motorcycle accident at Tallobazar of Chandrapur Municipality-6 in Rautahat on Sunday. The pillion rider also sustained injuries.

The deceased has been identified as 26-year-old police constable Nabin Kumar Yadav, an inhabitant of Brindavan Municipality-3, Bishrampur.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Raj Kumar Rai, Yadav breathed his last at the Highway Trauma Hospital in Chandranigahapur while undergoing treatment.

Rai informed that Nabin Kumar Chaudhary, 25, the pillion rider on the bike sustained injuries on his left leg.

Constable Yadav was en route to Santapur from Chandranigahapur on the Chandranigahapur-Gaur road section when his motorcycle lost control and met with an accident.

Yadav’s body has been kept at Chandranigahapur Hospital for post-mortem, police said.
