Two dead, three injured in Rautahat jeep accident
The jeep carrying wedding attendants plunged into a canal, causing casualties.

Two people died when a jeep carrying wedding attendants plunged into a canal in Gadhimai Municipality-6 of Rautahat on Friday. Three others were injured.
According to Rautahat District Police Office, the deceased are a seven-year-old girl from Chakraghatta Rural Municipality-3 of Sarlahi and a 55-year-old man from Kathmandu.
Garuda Area Police Office said the jeep with an Indian registration number was heading to Sarlahi from Dhanhari village when it overturned and plunged into a canal.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Eliza Giri at Rautahat District Police Office, 12 people were on board the jeep.
Police said the injured are being treated at a local hospital, adding the jeep driver absconded and they are looking for him.
