Police arrested a 23-year-old man in possession of marijuana from ward 4 of Paterwa Sugauli Rural Municipality in Parsa district, on Saturday evening.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team from the District Police Office detained Amit Kumar Chaudhary with 22.4 kg of marijuana.

The suspect hid the contraband in his animal shed. A detailed investigation is underway into the case, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Dipak Bharati.
