A 50-year-old man was found murdered in his paddy field at Brahmapuri in ward 2 of Arnama Rural Municipality in Siraha district, on Tuesday.

According to the District Police Office in Siraha, Budharam Mahato was found murdered in his field with serious injuries around his neck.

Preliminary police investigation shows that he was bludgeoned to death with a spade.

“Detailed investigation is underway into the incident,” said Deputy Superintendent of Police Muktinath Sapkota.
