A ward chairman has been arrested with bribe money from Bara district on Monday.
A team from the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) from its Hetauda office caught Tara Karki, the chief of ward 3 of Jitpur Simara Sub-Metropolitan City, red-handed with Rs500,000 in bribe money.
According to the Area Police Office in Simara, the anti-graft team detained the suspect while he was receiving the amount from a service seeker at a local hotel.
