A 65-year-old woman from ward 1 of Kharsal in Barahathwa Municipality of the district was found dead in a public well on Thursday.

According to Superintendent of Police Nareshraj Subedi of the district police office, the body of the woman was found in the morning inside the well used by local farmers to irrigate the fields.

The body of the woman has been sent to the Malanagwa-based Province Hospital for a post-mortem. Further investigation is going on regarding the incident, said Subedi.
