A pedestrian was killed when a motorcycle coming en route to Rajgadh from Janata Bazar, Kuti collided with him in Barhadashi rural municipality-2 of Jhapa district.

The deceased has been identified as Chyangba Tamang, 42, of Barhadashi Rural Municipality-1, Nayabasti. He succumbed to his injuries at B&C Hospital Birtamod on Tuesday afternoon, the district police office, Jhapa said on Tuesday.

The pillion rider Shrawan Rajbanshi, 19, of Kachankawal rural municipality-1 was injured in the accident.

Police have impounded the vehicle and motorcyclist, Devraj Rajbanshi, 19, of Kachankawal rural municipality-1 for further investigation.
