Chairman of Gramthan Rural Municipality in Morang Jaya Prakash Gachchhadar died at his residence on Monday. He was 56.

Gachchhadar had been critically ill after suffering a brain haemorrhage four months ago. Gachchhadar was elected as the rural municipality chief from the Nepali Congress during the 2022 local elections.

According to his family members, his funeral will be held on Tuesday.
