Congress deploys leaders to all seven provinces for elections
Central representatives will assess the party’s standing in districts and coordinate election campaigns.Post Report
Following a leadership change after its special general convention, the Nepali Congress has deployed central representatives to all seven provinces, with a focus on the House of Representatives election slated for March 5.
The party’s Election Mobilisation Committee, led by Vice President Bishwaprakash Sharma, has assigned leaders to all seven provinces to assess the party’s situation.
According to Congress spokesperson Devaraj Chalise, the central representatives will assess the party’s condition in the districts within their respective provinces and coordinate necessary matters at the central level.
As per him, the Congress has deputed Co–General Secretary Dila Sangraula to the districts of Taplejung, Ilam, Panchthar, and Jhapa in Koshi province. Along with Sangraula, former co–general secretaries Bhishmaraj Angdembe, Sudhir Kumar Shivakoti, and Suresh Subba have also been assigned to Koshi.
Leaders Amrit Aryal, Min Bishwakarma, Taraman Gurung, and Umesh Jung Rayamajhi have been deputed to Sankhuwasabha, Tehrathum, Bhojpur, Dhankuta, Morang, and Sunsari.
Similarly, Basanta Bhattarai, Nagendra Kumal, Pramila Rai, and Dharma Nepali Darji have been assigned to Solukhumbu, Khotang, Okhaldhunga, Udayapur, Siraha, and Saptari.
In Bagmati province, for Dhading, Rasuwa, Nuwakot, and Kathmandu, responsibilities have been assigned to Bahadur Singh Lama to Kedar Narsingh KC, Rajendra Kumar KC, Pratima Gautam, Jit Narayan Shrestha, and Amita Pradhan.
Likewise, Jipchhiring Lama, Harisharan Nepali, Urmila Thapaliya, Uma Dahal, and Geeta Satyal have been deputed to Kavrepalanchok, Sindhuli, Lalitpur, and Makawanpur.
For Bhaktapur, Dolakha, Ramechhap, Sindhupalchok, and Chitwan, Arjun Narsingh KC, Dilman Pakhrin, Dhana Khatiwada, Madhura Prasad Ghimire, and Dharmaraj Gautam have, respectively, been assigned. In Gandaki province, Chinkaji Shrestha, Mankumari Gurung, Krishna Bahadur KC, and Chinu Pokharel have been deputed to Parbat, Myagdi, Mustang, and Baglung districts.
Similarly, Dhruva Wagle, Jagdish Chandra Upadhyay, Mankumari Gurung, and Kiran Raj Sharma Paudel have been assigned to Syangja, Kaski, Manang, and Nawalpur. For Gorkha, Lamjung, and Tanahun, Abdul Sattar, Resham Baniya, Sharda Paudel, and Saraswati Aryal Tiwari have been deputed. In Lumbini province, Gopal Dahit, Gahendra Giri, Pradeep Sharma, and Rajendra Gopal Singh have been assigned to Rupandehi, Palpa, Nawalparasi, and Gulmi. Likewise, Krishna Kishor Ghimire, Maikulal Valmiki, Chhanda Bahadur Paharai, and Keshav Acharya have been deputed to Kapilvastu, Arghakhanchi, Rukum East, Pyuthan, and Rolpa. For Dang, Banke, and Bardiya, Chandra Bahadur KC, Kamal Prasad Bhusal, Radheshyam Pathak, and Rangmati Shahi have been assigned.
In Sudurpaschim province, Him Bahadur Rawal, Nipa Chokhpal, and Vidyadevi Timilsina have been deputed to Kanchanpur, Baitadi, Darchula, and Bajhang. For Kailali and Dadeldhura, Jagat Prasad Joshi, Sunita Rana, Dr. Ran Bahadur Rawal, and Nrip Bahadur Wad have been assigned.
Likewise, Narendra Bhatt, Samjhana Khatri, and Sushila Mishra Bhatt have been deputed to Doti, Achham, and Bajura districts, the party said.
