President summons federal parliament session on Thursday

President Ramchandra Paudel has summoned a session of the federal parliament at the federal parliament building at 2 pm on Thursday.
President Paudel called sessions of both the National Assembly and House of Representatives on the recommendation of the Cabinet.
A Cabinet meeting on Monday recommended calling a session of both Houses.
The President's Office, in a statement, confirmed the summoning of both the upper and lower Houses following the conclusion of the recently held parliamentary elections on March 5.
According to the constitution provisions, the president summons a federal parliament session on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers.
The Cabinet meeting also formed a taskforce to prepare a discussion paper on constitutional amendment.
The taskforce, headed by Asim Shah, the Prime Minister's political adviser, and tasked with identifying areas requiring amendment, will represent all political parties in Parliament, said Government spokesperson Sasmit Pokharel, also Minister for Education, Science and Technology and Youth and Sports.
The discussion paper will be prepared to facilitate constitutional amendment through national consensus, he added.
