Dolakha
Voting at a polling centre in Malu of Tamakoshi Rural Municipality-4 in Dolakha resumed on Thursday after being briefly halted following a dispute involving candidate representatives.
According to officials, voting was disrupted after representatives of candidates allegedly snatched ballot papers and stamps from election officials at the polling centre. Around 54 ballot papers were reportedly taken from the polling station.
The incident triggered a clash at the site after a bundle of ballot papers was seized and taken away earlier in the day.
After the disruption, an all-party meeting held at the polling centre to resolve the dispute agreed that all voters who joined the queue before 5 pm would be allowed to cast their ballots.
