Six people, including Nepali and Pakistani nationals, were injured on Thursday afternoon after drones were intercepted over the Industrial City of Abu Dhabi, authorities confirmed.
According to Khaleej Times, shrapnel fell at two sites following the successful air defence interception. The injuries have been described as minor to moderate.
UAE authorities are monitoring the situation closely and have urged the public to rely only on official sources for updates.
Earlier this week, Dibas Shrestha of Bhimsen Thapa Rural Municipality-7, Borlang, in Gorkha, was killed in an Iranian drone attack in Abu Dhabi. Shrestha had been preparing to return home on leave in the coming months, the Nepali Embassy in the UAE said.
