The United Nations Troop Contributing Countries Chiefs’ Conclave 2025, hosted by the Indian Army from October 14 to 16 in New Delhi, concluded with a renewed commitment to strengthen global peacekeeping efforts and cooperation among nations contributing to UN missions.
The three-day event included high-level discussions, formal ceremonies, and a collective reaffirmation of the resolve to make UN peacekeeping operations more effective and responsive to emerging challenges, DD news reported.
The conclave ended with a consensus that UN peacekeeping should evolve by promoting inclusive decision-making that empowers troop-contributing nations, implementing realistic mandates that prioritise peacekeepers’ safety and welfare, and adopting indigenous, cost-effective technologies to improve mission results.
