Post Report
President Ramchandra Paudel was discharged from the Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Centre on Sunday after doctors confirmed his health had stabilised, the hospital said.
Paudel was admitted on Saturday after he suddenly felt unwell during a meeting with Gen Z leaders at Sheetal Niwas.
According to hospital sources, the President complained of a severe headache and vomiting before being taken to the hospital. “His condition is now normal, and he has been discharged after necessary tests,” said Ratna Mani Gajurel, executive director of the centre.
A total of 22 Gen Z leaders had gathered at the President’s Office for discussions with Paudel, which were also attended by Prime Minister Sushila Karki. The talks were part of an initiative led by the President in coordination with the prime minister to create an environment conducive to holding the parliamentary elections scheduled for March 5.
