President Paudel hospitalised after feeling unwell amid meeting with Gen Z leaders
President suddenly complained of headache and vomiting and has been kept under observation for further tests.

President Ramchandra Paudel was admitted to the Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Centre in Maharajgunj after suddenly feeling unwell during a meeting with Gen Z leaders on Saturday.
According to hospital sources, the President complained of a severe headache and vomiting and was immediately taken to the hospital. “His condition is stable, but he has been kept under observation for further tests,” the source said.
A total of 22 Gen Z leaders had arrived at the President’s Office, Sheetal Niwas for discussions with the President. Prime Minister Sushila Karki was also present at the meeting.
Among the participants at the meeting from Gen Z groups were Rakshya Bam, Yujanraj Bhandari, Sudhan Gurung, and Miraj Dhungana, among others.
A group of members from some Gen Z groups however, gathered outside the president’s office demanding their participation in the meeting.
The discussions were part of the initiatives taken by the head of state in coordination with the prime minister with an objective to create an environment conducive to hold parliament elections scheduled for March 5.
The President on Friday convened a meeting with leaders from the political parties represented in the recently dissolved House of Representatives. During the meeting, Paudel urged all the representatives from the political parties to concentrate all their efforts on making the March elections a success.
Leaders from the political parties, on their part, asked the President and Prime Minister Sushila Karki to ensure that the polls are held in a free, fair and independent way.
