Nepal and China pledge deeper cooperation
Chinese Ambassador Chen Song meets Prime Minister Sushila Karki, conveys Beijing’s support for Nepal’s development and prosperity.

Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sushila Karki at her office in Singha Durbar on Thursday.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting focused on strengthening Nepal-China relations and promoting mutually beneficial cooperation.
“During the call, the matters relating to further strengthening Nepal-China relations and promoting mutually beneficial cooperation were discussed,” the ministry wrote on X.

The ministry added that Ambassador Chen conveyed a congratulatory message from the Government of China to Prime Minister Karki on her appointment. He also reaffirmed Beijing’s respect for Nepal’s political and developmental choices, expressing China’s commitment to supporting Nepal in its pursuit of development and prosperity.
The Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu also confirmed that the talks touched on further deepening friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
