The District Police Range Kathmandu has appealed to the public not to buy looted goods in the aftermath of the Gen Z protests of September 8 and 9.
Police said valuables, including jewellery, gold and silver, were stolen from banks, financial institutions, private residences and business establishments during the unrest last week.
The district police has asked the general public to inform the police when they get any information of putting such goods up for sale.
The public has been urged to carefully check purchase bills before buying jewellery and other valuables.
Police further warned that anyone disregarding this notice or involved in the trade of looted items will face action under existing criminal laws.
