A few protesters were injured after police opened fire during demonstrations in New Baneshwar on Monday.
The injured have been taken to Everest Hospital, Civil Hospital and other nearby hospitals for treatment.
Activist Ronesh Pradhan said the organisation Hami Nepal has set up a first aid camp at Maitighar to provide first aid to protesters.
“Six to seven people are receiving treatment at Maitighar, while most of the injured are at Everest Hospital,” Pradhan said, adding that the exact number of those hurt is yet to be confirmed.
