Chief Justice of India Bhushan Ramkrishna Gavai is scheduled to arrive in Nepal on Thursday, marking his first visit since assuming office.
Gavai will be in Kathmandu to attend the Nepal-India Judicial Dialogue and is also expected to visit Lumbini, Patan and Pashupatinath as part of his programme, according to officials.
In 2024, at the invitation of Chief Justice Bishwambhar Prasad Shrestha, then Indian Chief Justice DY Chandrachud paid a three-day official visit to Nepal, highlighting ongoing judicial cooperation between the two neighbours.
