Indian Chief Justice Chandrachud arrives in Kathmandu
Chandrachud visits Nepal at the invitation of his Nepali counterpart Bishwambhar Prasad Shrestha.

Chief Justice of India Dhananjaya Yeshwant Chandrachud arrived in Kathmandu on Friday for a three-day visit.
Chandrachud, who is in Nepal at the invitation of his Nepali counterpart Bishwambhar Prasad Shrestha, was received by Justice Anand Mohan Bhattarai and Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava at the Kathmandu airport.
According to the Supreme Court, the Indian Chief Justice will give a presentation at a programme held by the Central Child Justice Committee on Saturday.
Chandrachud will also hold talks with Indian envoy Srivastava. He is scheduled to return to India on Sunday evening.
Meanwhile, Comptroller and Auditor General of India Girish Chandra Murmu, who is also in Nepal on an official visit, held meetings with leaders and other top officials in Kathmandu.

He called on Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Thursday and briefed him regarding the ongoing cooperation between the Supreme Audit Institutions of India and Nepal, according to the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu.
Murmu also called on Finance Minister Barshaman Pun and Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chair Rishikesh Pokharel, among other top Nepali officials.

Murmu and Auditor General of Nepal Toyama Raya signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Thursday on cooperation in the field of public sector audit.
“The MoU will promote capacity building efforts and focus on improvement in methodologies in the field of Public Sector Audit,” the Indian embassy said.
