Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli attended a reception hosted by Chinese President Xi Jinping and First Lady Peng Liyuan in Tianjin on Sunday evening for the heads of state and governments participating in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Plus Summit.
According to officials, the event brought together leaders from various countries participating in the event. Prime Minister Oli and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi exchanged greetings during the ceremony.

Earlier on Saturday, Oli held a bilateral meeting with President Xi at the Tianjin Guest House, where he conveyed Nepal’s objection to the recent India–China agreement to reopen trade through Lipulekh, a Nepali territory as per the 1816 Sugauli Treaty.
The two leaders also reviewed the state of bilateral relations and agreed to expand cooperation across various sectors.
Oli, who described the talks with President Xi as “fruitful,” thanked him for the invitation to participate in the SCO Plus Summit. This marks Oli’s second visit to China in less than a year.
The SCO Summit, along with the SCO Plus meeting, began on Sunday in Tianjin.
