Thunderstorms, hail and snow likely from Friday

Many parts of Nepal are likely to experience rain, hail, thunderstorms, and snowfall from Friday, the Meteorological Forecasting Division said. This pattern is expected to continue until Saturday.
On Friday afternoon, most mountain areas will be cloudy, hill regions partly cloudy, and the Tarai will be partly cloudy. Some hill and mountain areas across all provinces, and one or two Tarai locations, may see moderate rainfall, hail, thunderstorms, and snowfall.
At night, parts of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, and some hill and mountain areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, may experience moderate rain, hail, thunderstorms, and snowfall.
On Saturday afternoon, Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces will be mostly cloudy, with partly cloudy conditions elsewhere. Moderate rain, hail, and thunderstorms are likely in some parts of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and select hill and mountain areas.
At night, light rain and snowfall are expected in one or two locations in the hill and mountain areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, the department said.
