Two Chinese nationals arrested with 2kg gold and cash from Thamel hotel
The couple had been staying in Kathmandu for a month.

Two Chinese nationals were arrested on Monday night from a hotel in Thamel with 2 kilogrammes of gold and Rs2.4 million in cash in their possession.
A team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office apprehended the suspects, a man and a woman, from Jiu Ding Yuan Bin Guan hotel located in Jyatha, Thamel.
According to Superintendent of Police Kaji Kumar Acharya, the spokesperson for the investigation office, further inquiry is underway. Once the investigation is complete, the suspects will be handed over to the Department of Revenue Investigation, he said.
Preliminary police findings suggest the two are in a relationship and had been residing in Nepal for the past month.
