Two killed in motorcycle collision in Saptari

Two people lost their lives following a head-on collision between two motorcycles in Hanumannagar Kankalini Municipality–1, Saptari, on Sunday morning.
According to police, the accident occurred on the inner road towards Bhaluwa when a Ko 10 Pa 562 motorcycle travelling east collided with Ba 55 Pa 6639 motorcycle coming from the opposite direction.
Both riders sustained serious injuries and later died while receiving treatment. Superintendent of Police Dhakendra Khatiwada confirmed the identities of the deceased as Om Prakash Panjiyar, 34, of Bairawa in Kanchanrup Municipality–1, and Avinash Mandal, 19, of Rajpur in Shambhunath Municipality–11.
Panjiyar was referred to Neuro Hospital in Biratnagar for further treatment but died during the process. Mandal was rushed to Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital in Rajbiraj, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Another person injured in the incident, Subhash Mahato, 30, also from Bairawa, is undergoing treatment at Neuro Hospital in Biratnagar.
Police say further investigation into the accident is ongoing.
