Judicial Council recommends chief judges to high courts
Four judges proposed for chief judge positions; transfers also made.

The Judicial Council has recommended the appointment of four judges as chief judges for various high courts.
In its meeting on Friday, the council proposed judge Rajan Prasad Bhattarai of the Janakpur High Court (temporary bench Birgunj) as chief judge of the Biratnagar High Court.
Similarly, Lal Bahadur Kunwar of the High Court Patan, has been recommended to serve as the chief judge in the same court. Hari Prasad Bhandari, currently serving on deputation at the High Court Tulsipur and posted at the High Court Biratnagar (temporary bench Okhaldhunga), has been proposed as the chief judge of the Surkhet High Court.
Likewise, Rajeshwar Tiwari of the Tulsipur High Court (Butwal bench) has been recommended as chief judge of the same court.
The council also decided to transfer Justice Gokarna Dangi from the Foreign Employment Tribunal (currently on deputation Dipayal from the High Court) to the Janakpur High Court, temporary bench Birgunj.
Additionally, the council recommended appointing judge Shanta Sedhai Sapkota of the High Court Patan (Hetauda bench) as chairperson of the Foreign Employment Tribunal.
