Chinese delegation arrives in Nepal
Vice Chairman of China’s National People’s Congress will hold meetings with top leaders in Kathmandu during the four-day visit.

A 15-member delegation from China, led by vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, Xiao Jie arrived in Kathmandu on Wednesday night.
The Federal Parliament Secretariat said in a statement that the visit is being made at the invitation of Indira Rana, deputy speaker of the House of Representatives.
During the four-day stay, the delegation is scheduled to hold courtesy meetings with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Speaker of the House of Representatives Devraj Ghimire, and Chairperson of the National Assembly Narayan Prasad Dahal, among others.
The Chinese delegation will also hold bilateral talks with Deputy Speaker Rana, who is hosting a dinner in their honour on Thursday.
According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, the visiting officials will participate in the Sagarmatha Sambaad hosted by the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers as a flagship event of the government.
They are also scheduled to visit major cultural and historical sites in the Kathmandu Valley, including Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, Hanumandhoka Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, and Patan Durbar Square.
The Chinese delegation was welcomed by Minister for Forest and Environment Ain Bahadur Shahi, Senior vice-chair of CPN (Maoist Centre) Narayankaji Shrestha, who is also coordinator of the Nepal-China Parliamentary Friendship Forum, General Secretary of the parliament secretariat Padma Prasad Pandey, among others, upon their arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport.
The delegation is scheduled to return to China on Saturday.
