PM Oli meets Sri Lankan counterpart Amarasuriya in Bangkok
The leaders hold talks on the sidelines of the sixth Bimstec summit, with further meetings planned.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has met with Sri Lankan counterpart Harini Amarasuriya in Bangkok.
The meeting took place on Thursday during the sixth summit of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC).
The two South Asian leaders, along with their delegates, discussed various issues, including enhancing mutual understanding between the two countries, Prime Minister Oli’s secretariat said.
While attending the summit, Prime Minister Oli has been actively engaged in sideline meetings.
Earlier, he held talks with Thailand’s Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, representatives from the business community and various other sectors.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also confirmed that Prime Minister Oli is scheduled to meet Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday afternoon.
The meeting between the two prime ministers in Bangkok has been confirmed amid expectations that it could pave the way for Oli’s much-anticipated visit to New Delhi.
