House passes condolence motion on Deepak Bohara’s demise
Speaker Ghimire announces end of Parliament’s winter session.

A meeting of the House of Representatives on Tuesday ended after passing a condolence motion on the demise of Rastriya Prajatantra Party lawmaker Deepak Bohara. Speaker Devraj Ghimire tabled the motion, which was unanimously approved.
Bohara, elected from Rupandehi-3, passed away Tuesday morning.
During the session, the Speaker also announced the absence of lawmakers who had missed ten or more consecutive meetings.
He read the letter from the Office of the President regarding the end of the Parliament’s winter session.
President Ramchandra Paudel has prorogued the current session of both houses of the Federal Parliament, effective from Tuesday midnight. The decision was made on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers, in line with Article 93(2) of the Constitution, the Office of President said in a statement on Tuesday.
A Cabinet meeting on Monday had decided to advise the President to end the session, leading to the formal prorogation.
The current session started on January 31.
