Three Nepalis die in road accident while returning from Kumbha Mela in India
The accident occurred when the vehicle carrying the pilgrims collided with a road divider.

Three Nepali pilgrims lost their lives in a road accident early on Monday morning while returning from the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, India. The accident took place in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, India, on the Baranasi-Azamgarh highway.
According to Superintendent of Police Ranjit Singh Rathore, the chief of Rupandehi police, the deceased have been identified as 45-year-old Ganesh Khanal, 35-year-old Deepa Khanal, and 40-year-old Geeta Sharma, all residents of Devdaha Municipality-9 in Rupandehi.
Five other individuals were injured in the incident, including Kopila Pokhrel and her son Shubham, Abishkar Parajui and Yamkala Devi Magar from Devdaha-9, and the Indian driver of the vehicle, Ritesh Dubey.
The victims had been returning home after taking a holy dip at the Kumbha Mela in Prayagraj. SP Rathore mentioned that the authorities are working in coordination with Indian officials to gather more information about the incident. Further details regarding the accident are awaited.
